Job Description

Are you ready to be part of the next generation of payments infrastructure? KhlasPay is building the bridge between merchants and payment service providers across Morocco, Africa, and Europe — and we're looking for people passionate about compliance and making payments work.

We're looking for a Compliance & Onboarding Officer to lead our merchant onboarding processes and ensure all partners meet KYC/KYB and regulatory requirements from day one.

What you will be doing:

Merchant Onboarding:

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of new merchants across Morocco, Africa, and Europe.
  • Collect, review, and verify KYC/KYB documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with PSP partners to ensure smooth and timely merchant activations.

Compliance & Risk:

  • Monitor merchant activity for compliance with applicable payment regulations and KhlasPay policies.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and support periodic audits.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes across target markets and flag relevant updates to leadership.

Partner Liaison:

  • Act as primary point of contact for PSP partners on compliance and onboarding queries.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure onboarding timelines meet merchant expectations.
  • Support due diligence for new PSP and acquirer partnerships.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, onboarding, or risk within payments, banking, or fintech.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC/KYB processes and AML regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and/or English; Arabic a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
