High Risk Merchants
-
Businesses are typically classified as high risk based on factors including industry type (travel, forex, gaming, supplements, adult content), high chargeback rates, international customer base, high average transaction values, or subscription billing models. High-risk merchants often face higher fees, rolling reserves, and more stringent underwriting requirements.
-
Every business is different. KhlasPay evaluates each merchant individually, looking at the business model, processing history, and target markets, before making any recommendations. Where we can identify a suitable and compliant payment solution, we will. If we can't, we'll tell you clearly and explain why. We don't promise outcomes we can't deliver.
-
Yes. Being declined by one PSP does not mean you cannot get processing. Khlas Pay can review your business model, identify the reasons for decline, and approach suitable alternative acquiring partners on your behalf.
-
A rolling reserve is a percentage of a merchant's transaction volume held by the acquiring bank as security against chargebacks and fraud. Typically 5-10% of revenue is held for 90-180 days before being released. High-risk merchants face rolling reserves because acquiring banks take on greater financial risk by processing their transactions.
